Jardin Noir

This is the first in a series of monochrome pictures using liquid black medium on paper. Again, the shapes are created using only a palette knife and working very fast while the paper is still wet.

I use bone black powder mixed with water. This give wonderfully rich, dark areas - rather like Indian ink.
