Graphite drawings by Mike Healey





These pictures are created using bone black powder mixed with water.
The shapes are formed simply using a palette knife.


I add texture by applying bleach to selected areas while the medium is still wet.
There is always a element of risk in all this but when it works the results can be often quite exciting.


The above example is called Moroccan Grove and is based on a visit some years ago to Marakech.
