The above painting is my most recent work - finished this morning!
It is called 'The Gardener'
It is a large canvas, about 3 feet by 4 feet
The Minotaur (the Gardener himself) is a familiar figure in Surrealist art
I am particularly pleased with the rocks that are spilling onto the paved courtyard. They are done using a Decalcomania technique in gouache, then glazed with varnish
The exotic plant that dominates this 'garden' is also done with gouache, but this time 'sculpted' with a palette knife.
